I came to see Shimojishima's 17 END. I parked in the free parking lot and headed to 17 END. Shimojishima is an island just off Miyakojima in Okinawa, with 17 END at its northernmost point. It was named 17 END because it is located at the very end of runway 17 at Shimoji Airport. There is a sidewalk around the airport, and you can reach 17 END in about 10 minutes on foot. The emerald green sea was spreading on the left side. The right side was the runway of Shimoji Airport. I turned right along the fence and on my left I could see the beautiful sea. 17 END Beach was the sandy beach that appeared ahead. This sandy beach only appears at low tide. It is also called a phantom beach because it can only be seen at certain times of the day. Turn right at the end of the road and it was 17 END. I arrived at 17 END. The pier in the back is the approach light for airplanes. From here you can see planes taking off and landing. The combination of the emerald green sea and the approach light was very beautiful, and it was a superb photo spot. Except for the approach lights, there was only the sea. I came on the other side of the approach lights. From this side, the approach light was red. I went back to 17 END Beach.
