It’s a 700km gravel ride that ticks off five of the islands and includes 50,000ft of climbing, following the route of the ultra event, GranGuanche. The race is the brainchild of adventure cyclist Lael Wilcox and Komoot, and invites 50 women to take part in a field that mixes pros with amateurs. The aim is to try to get more women involved in cycling and long-distance events, and to celebrate the varied community of female cyclists across the world. How does Robyn get on?
