I think dynamic queue is an idea that could work, but making it like this is and removing ranked 5s is just a strange notion. At least your soloqueue rating isn't based on if you have good friends or not. Either way, I won't jump to conclusions too quickly and I hope it will work out fine next year, but I - along numerous high-ish elo players - found the original dynamic queue quite destructive for dedicated solo players.
