Hornby's TT:120 Branch Line Freight Set - The Perfect TT Starter

Hornby's brand new TT:120 train set is out now! An 0-4-0 tank engine and two wagons for under £100, this is the perfect way in to TT:120 and an ideal Christmas present. I take a look at the set, and have a couple of little tips for beginners setting theirs up. Notes: I've switched out the standard couplers for Hunt Magnetic couplers, as I use them on all my rolling stock. Forgot to mention that in the video. After making this video, following a suggestion from ‪@mactrains‬ I gently pushed apart the wheel axle boxes on the stiff running SR wagon, that freed it up nicely. For anyone who's new to my videos, on the Hollybush layout I'm using a Morley Vortrak controller. This is analogue DC, but a significantly better controller than the basic one included in the set. The Hornby controller will get you started ok, but if you want to build a larger layout I'd really recommend upgrading to a better controller.
