BEGINNER RUNNING VLOG ✍️ Today’s Run Note This was my fourth marathon. In every marathon before this, I ended up walking. Once I passed 30km, I always fell apart. Part of it was physical, but the main reason was always the same - going out too fast. For this race, I made one clear promise to myself. No matter what, I would not walk. My goal was to hold an average pace of 4:40/km and finally break 3:20. But the moment the race started, everything exploded. Adrenaline, excitement, energy - it was almost impossible to slow down. I truly believed I was running easy, but every time I checked my watch, I was going too fast. I kept trying to stay slower than 4:40/km until 30km, constantly checking my pace, but somehow, I kept drifting faster than my target. After 20km, my breathing settled. And without forcing it, I found myself holding 4:40/km more naturally. In my previous marathon, I completely broke down at 35km. So today, I was honestly waiting for that moment again. But when I reached 35km, something was different. I still had strength. My pace didn’t fall apart. And for the first time, I realized - I was still running. Not walking. Not surviving. Running. In that moment, everything came back to me. All the days I showed up. All the miles. All the quiet, consistent effort. Tears started to fall. From 35km to the finish line, I was running and crying at the same time. I couldn’t stop it. Maybe it’s because I’m getting close to 50. Or maybe... this just meant that much to me. A marathon is just a race. But today, it felt like something much more. Thank you for another day of running. Wishing you happiness and love in your life.
