Making a Stacked Firehose Handle Bowie Knife from 80CrV2 Steel with a Brass Guard and Pommel

In this video I forge a custom bowie knife from 80CrV2 steel. I constructed a stacked firehose handle using the inner and outer linings from a firehose. I added a brass guard pommel with a through tang construction, secured with a threaded brass tang nut. I pressed in a fuller on the blade using my Coal Iron Works 12-ton press. I also made a sheath from the firehose lining material. I added a strip of kydex along the backside to make the sheath more rigid, and added a layer of suede leather along the inside to prevent the kydex eyelets from scratching the brass guard.
