A Visit to the Library of Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba in Touba, Senegal

Born in the late 19th century, Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba represents one of the giants of Islam in the Bilad us Sudan (Africa). While his followers number in the millions today, many of whom venture into the extreme, very few are aware of the true nature of this wali(friend) of Allah. His life was spent in the worship of Allah, the khidm (service) of the Prophet صل الله عليه وسلم, and innoculating the Senegalese population with the prophetic sunnah through education. in this trip, I take a visit to his mosque in order to witness what he himself described as his true miracle - namely the mountains of tracts and texts he wrote on various Islamic sciences.
