The Longshot - Ziggy Stardust (David Bowie cover) – Oakland, Live, 4-13-18, 1st row, 1234 Go! Records. Billie Joe: Wooo! It’s like a bunch of corgis running around… lol Other Tidbits: The band performed their first ever show at 1234 Go! Records, which has a capacity of only 49 people. Although Billie Joe Armstrong introduced the band to the fans with joke names, The Longshot band members were Jeff Matika (bass), Kevin Preston (guitar) and David S. Field (drums). They also sold their new 7" vinyl EP for $10 and after the show, everyone hung out with the fans to sign autographs and take pictures and Billie Joe signed my setlist and Longshot record, which was very nice. The band is set to perform in San Francisco at Thee Parkside, in Costa Mesa at The Wayfarer and The Redwood Bar in LA later this month in April. Similar to The Coverups shows, all their performances will be held at very small venues. Many of the fans recognized each other from previous Green Day and Coverups concerts. And because 1234 Go! Records is an all-ages venue, we saw many under-21 fans who could not make it to the other shows. Billie Joe (to a 1st row fan): "Did you get a good picture?... A real nice one? This is a terrible angle, you know that, right?" lol "Honestly, thanks for coming out!"
