Subharmonicon | How to Sync Using Analog Clock

This video shows how to use a drum machine equipped with an analog clock output to sync Subharmonicon.   Before the invention of MIDI, older electronic music equipment required using various forms of analog clock signals to achieve synchronization between multiple pieces of hardware. Because of this older standard, many vintage drum machines included analog trigger and clock outputs to be able to control and synchronize external instruments. With the resurgence in popularity of modular synthesis, analog clock outputs are once again being included on newer equipment, many times alongside MIDI, allowing users more than one method to achieve sync. Subharmonicon is equipped with both a MIDI and analog clock input, and is therefore easy to interface with many types of gear, both old and new.
