I have a lot of photos from the Baghdad days...both, with Owsley, as well as Eric Dover (Slash's Snakepit, Jellyfish). Playing in Baghdad with these amazing musicians was the highlight of my musical career. I owe it all to the original drummer, Doug Stiers, whom I had become friends with. Doug got me the audition to replace him when he and Jerry Dawson decided to leave Baghdad. Sadly, we lost Doug on January 29, 2010, at the age of 47. I wish someone had captured just one show with me and Owsley on video, but all I have to share are photographs and some audio recordings that a good friend made while standing in the crowd with her cassette recorder. Thank you Cathy Abernathy. Baghdad did a 4-song Rush medley that I will have up soon. I played drums with Baghdad for the first year, then I switched to bass. Scott Collier, of Brother Cane, is playing drums in most of these photos.and I am playing bass. This band promo pic was taken in late 86 or early 87...and shows, clockwise from bottom left... Will Owsley.................Vocals / Lead Guitar Jim Howe...................Guitar / Vocals Joel Bouchillon..........Keyboards Beau Scott.................Backing Vocals Roy Wilkerson............Bass (Sadly, Roy passed on January 3, 2014. Not only was Roy a fantastic bass player and singer...he was also a wonderful, kind person.) Joey Ledbetter..........Drums *In 87, Joel Bouchillon (original keyboardist) left. I actually sequenced all the keyboard parts so we were able to continue playing much of the show (including the Rush medley)...while we looked for a new keyboard player.
