Planespotting at Bournemouth Airport on Thursday 19th January 2026 turned out to be absolutely incredible! Clear winter skies, perfect light, and some seriously rare movements made this a day to remember. The stars of the show were FIVE Airbus A340-600s from European Cargo — yes, five! Seeing even one of these massive four-engine giants is special, but having five on the ground at once at Bournemouth was unreal. Watch as these long-fuselage beauties taxi, spool up, and roar down the runway. The sound of those four engines in the cold January air was something else! We also caught a departing Boeing 737 from Ryanair blasting off on schedule, followed by a Jet2 Boeing 737 departure from Jet2 heading off on its next holiday run. Classic 737 power and that unmistakable narrowbody departure performance! A rare widebody lineup mixed with everyday 737 action made this one of the best Bournemouth sessions in a long time.
