The Changing Faces of Traunstein Timelapse | 4K | Sony A7Rii

The majestic Traunstein is a 1,691 meter high mountain towering over the Traunsee lake in upper Austria. 🗻These timelapses were shot back in 2019 from various spots in Gmunden and Altmünster. I did many mistakes while shooting, the worst was not shooting in raw 🤦‍♀️You can't change the white balance in jpeg files and that resulted in a lot of flickering because white balance was on auto and it went crazy with the constant light changes. Also many of the sequences were extremely noisy since i had to shoot with high iso and removing noise from a jpeg is also not that great. I thought those sequences can't be saved but kept the files and then i stumbled upon this amazing software called LRTimelapse and not only did i manage to salvage all the sequences but also produce a pretty awesome result if i might say so. The flickering is gone!😁 Yeah, some parts are still noisy but that was my fault. Lesson learned: Always shoot RAW!!!
