UPDATE 29/12/24 2:29pm (GMT+11) EPIC RATED!!!!!!!! alright well, i finally finished this level i started making the layout all the way back in september 2023 on a livestream (https://www.youtube.com/live/jZ_sFUXm..., and with only the first part decorated within a few days (most of this original deco is still present in the final level lol), i eventually dropped it after not being able to make the next part look good. over the next few months, i worked on the level with varying levels of motivation, getting the next few parts planned out at the very least. at one point in time, i was so motivated that i split up the level into parts like a megacollab and described exactly what i envisioned, with levels to reference for inspiration, so as to not lose interest whilst building. this didnt really work tho as my motivation took a nosedive with the increasing schoolwork, especially because i was in my final year of high school fast forward to around 2-3 weeks ago; i was freshly graduated. i realised i still had this lying around and it pained me that i had put this much effort in, only to abandon it. i decided to just give it one final push to get the whole thing done, and i ended up over tripling my editor hours from 40 to 140 in this short timespan. i made consistent progress everyday and it felt really great finally achieving some decoration after so long, and eventually the level got down to the playtesting and polishing stages, which i greatly thank my playtesters for, no matter how much or how little they did. all things considered, this is my best solo work in the game, and maybe even my best work in the game overall. not sure whether or not hot rod's community-ness wins over this or not lol. the sheer amount of grinding and time i put into this though, is unmatched compared to any of my other levels, and thematically, i put a lot more thought into crafting a storyline for the player to follow throughout the level during the creation of this level, i (and a few people around me) had hyped this level up to be epic/legendary worthy, but to be completely honest, no matter what rating this level gets, i would regardless only be satisfied by its audience and players. because this is only an entry extreme demon, i hope for many players of all skill levels to give this a shot and potentially beat it, because that is what i truly appreciate i tested the level on my phone and tablet, the latter of which functions significantly worse, but both were able to run the level surprisingly smoothly. though, i did add a low detail mode which removes a small level of detail, as well as the majority of the shaders because those tend to lag anyways, with that said, im very proud of this level and im SO HAPPY ITS DONEOUIQWEH FALWIFH WILFH BTW heres an old, partially decorated version of the level from november of 2023    • levels archive 2017-2023   playtesters: mera finlay carv anglified redd megaoof derpy m8man whlt mango77 duckiee joogstar gr8ness playtesters that didnt make it to the endscreen cos they playtested like yesterday: shadient playtesters that didnt playtest (and instead blessed everybody with their presence) des sazerix 213adora enfur natural33 warden BIG thanks to ‪@Blueskii‬ for the showcase :D id: 113138918 song: Miyolophone - re:カレント (https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/list...) attempts: 14,823 total (idk like 100 attempts for verifying) objects: 26062 hours: 140 verification:    • [verified] 'SHURIMA' by stcubing (me)   main:    / @stcubing   oh yeah also this was somewhat inspired by the league of legends region, but dont ask me anything about the game cos i literally dont play it
