Exploring the former Alloa Railway Station site - abandoned disused closed station

A look around the site of the original Alloa Railway Station in Clackmannanshire which was opened in 1850 by the Stirling and Dunfermline Railway. The station would remain open until 1968. Built as a simple terminus, it would become a busy and important junction. Today the remains include the original cobbled entrance, and impressive four arched bridge and perimeter walls. The former trackbed is still very accessible to easily explored. The railway would return in 2008 when the new Alloa Station was opened.
