I've just returned from an epic 5-day solo motorcycle adventure based out of the historic Shropshire town of Bishop's Castle. The trip began with a pilgrimage to the Peak District, carving through the legendary tarmac of Snake Pass and the stunning limestone gorge of Winnats Pass, before tackling the high-altitude twisties of the Cat and Fiddle run. The next day, I ventured west deep into Wales, leaving the tarmac behind to explore challenging gravel tracks near Blaenau Ffestiniog and Machynlleth—a proper adventure inspired by routes I'd seen online. The exploration continued along the Shropshire and Welsh borderlands with a mandatory stop at the brilliant Old Stores biker cafe, navigating the stunningly narrow road to World's End and circling the serene Lake Vyrnwy. The final day was a scenic retreat, climbing back over Long Mynd one last time before tracing the meandering path of the Wye Valley for the journey home. It was an unforgettable five days of freedom, incredible roads, and stunning British landscapes. Filmed on Insta360 x3 @5.7k 30fps
