Watch live coverage from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station as United Launch Alliance (ULA) launches a Vulcan rocket with the Geosynchronous Space Situational Awareness Program (GSSAP) spacecraft onboard. Liftoff from pad 41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station is scheduled for 4:22 a.m. EST (0922 UTC). The U.S. Space Force is also flying secondary payloads, which are described as " research, development, and training systems that USSF Guardians are using to refine tactics, techniques and procedures for precision on-orbit maneuvers," according to the USSF's Systems Delta 80 (SYD 80). This will be the fourth launch of a Vulcan rocket and the first flying in a VC4S configuration, meaning it will use four of Northrop Grumman's Graphite Epoxy Motor (GEM) 63XL solid rocket boosters and a 51-foot-long (15.5 m) "standard" payload fairing. Because the payloads concern national security, the timing of deployment isn't made public. Commentary will be provided by Spaceflight Now's Will Robinson-Smith beginning about an hour prior to liftoff. Videos like this are made possible by the support of our members.
