📖 Reading: Book of Isaiah 48:10 “See, I have refined you… I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.” Isaiah is poetic, honest and hopeful — holding together judgement and comfort, lament and restoration. It speaks into instability and spiritual drift, calling people back to trust. It reminds us that God’s holiness is not cold distance, but refining love. Pruning can feel like reduction. Like something is being taken away. But Scripture offers another word: refinement. Gold is heated not to destroy it, but to remove what weakens it. In seasons that feel intense or stretching, God is not absent. He is forming strength within us. As you stitch today, notice how thread strengthens fabric by passing through it again and again. Formation takes repetition. Heat produces resilience. You are not being reduced.
