Shikoku's Henro Pilgrimage - Off to Tosa - Following the Heart - Temples 34, 35, 36

On the third and fourth day we visited Temples 34, 35, and 36, near Tosa City in Shikoku, Japan. Henro Pilgrimage (Shikoku Henro) is a sacred Buddhist journey that circles the island of Shikoku, Japan, covering 88 temples associated with the revered monk Kūkai (Kōbō Daishi). It covers a total of about 1200 km, however, we've opted to break the pilgrimage up into smaller chunks due to vacation time constraints. We packed up our gear to move to Tosa City, basically across the Niyodo River from Kochi. We had intended to keep going and ideally reach Ashizuri Cape, however life had different plans for us! Lyndon was getting steadily more ill, and I also was starting to get sick. After staying in Tosa for a couple of nights we headed back for the comforts of Kochi to take things easy for a few days.
