This session highlights the sentiment widely shared by Black women who are once again "sick and tired of being sick and tired." In the wake of mainstream media stories of those who have been targeted in leadership roles, succumbed to workplace discrimination and stresses (including the death of Dr. Antoinnette "Bonnie" Candia-Bailey of Lincoln University), themes that have arisen in the recent national and local elections, and numerous other situations, this session is designed for Black women to learn, share, and exhale while engaging in solution and action-oriented dialogue to allow us to continue working toward impactful community change while taking care of ourselves and remaining resilient. The session will offer a call to action to promote mental wellness through building community.
