Driving along the beautiful Xin'an River - Chinese rural roads - 4K HDR Xin'an River, known as Jianjiang, Zhejiang, and Huigang in ancient times, is the upper reaches of the main stream of the Qiantang River system. It originates in Xiuning County, Huangshan City, and enters the western part of Zhejiang Province in the east. It passes through Chun'an to Jiande and merges with Lanjiang River to form the Qiantang River. The main stream Tongjiang section and Fuchunjiang section flow into the Qiantang River from the northeast and are the main source of the Qiantang River. The main stream is 373 kilometers long and the drainage area is more than 11,000 square kilometers. Xin'an River is rich in water conservancy resources, and there are two reservoirs, Fengle and Xin'an River, in the basin. Before liberation, its shipping service ran directly from Tunxi to Hangzhou. After liberation, the reservoir cut off the route, and the end of shipping became history. This trip mainly drives along the Xin'an River all the way to Qiandao Lake. There are some road constructions in the Anhui border, but the road conditions are much better when we reach the Zhejiang border. The route passes through Xin'anjiang Landscape Gallery Scenic Area, Changxi Scenic Area, and Yangchan Tulou Scenic Area, and ends at Weiping Town, Chun'an County, Zhejiang Province. From Weiping Town, you can continue driving for more than 30 kilometers to reach the famous Qiandao Lake Scenic Area. It is a great self-driving tour route.
