Sydney Festival’s celebration of art promises to bring life to the city

Sydney Festival is promising to bring the harbour capital to life with a series of colourful exhibitions and 130 events throughout the city. Sydney Festival Director Oliva Ansell told Sky News Australia she expects the festival, which kicks off this weekend, to bring in at least several thousand people throughout January. Ms Ansell claims the festival involves “massive logistics” and takes meticulous preparation to ensure the event's success. “It takes over a thousand artists, an incredible crew, a passionate crew. Every single partner and supporter in the city of Sydney gets behind us and brings the city to life,” Ms Ansell said. "There's nowhere else like Sydney for an exhilarating summer of art."
