Auto Race -- The sweet sweet handheld gaming device from Mattel!

This is Auto Race! For itself! This great early handheld red dot gaming game is from Mattel. Copyright 1976. Though I've read it came out in 1977. And 1976. Who knows. Either way, it was a long time ago. In Auto Race you control a bright red line and try to avoid less bright red lines. Red LEDs are really cool. Man, these old games look great. I'm being serious. The goal of Auto Race is to complete four laps in under 99 seconds. This is very easy to do, though I played terribly in this video as I was half looking through the camera, half through my eyeballs, and trying to talk at the same time. And I have enough trouble doing any one of those things alone, never mind concurrently. The racing wasn't as fast as I remembered from 200 years ago. Perhaps the battery was a little low, or the device is just feeling tired. I have read that there is actually a speed control for the game inside, but I have not investigated that. Auto Race runs on a single 9 volt battery and a barrel of heart. ------ ------ This video is a freakin' review of sorts of Auto Race, which is a sweet freakin' handheld. The theme song was made by me, promise. No samples from any other work were used. Cause really, the song is not great, no one else would waste their time with something so swillish. I doubt swillish is a word.
