6-13-2015 Wedge Mountain Hike, Nada lake ,Snow Lakes part of Enchantment basin ,Leavenworth about 30 miles by road from Wenatchee. off FS road 7305 off of Mountain Home Road also known as FS Road 7300 Note FS road 7305 is best driven with a high wheel base car or truck and brush will scrape the sides of most cars and threaten to take mirrors off from time to time. At trail head you are close to 4500 foot and the hike is likely about 2k feet elevation up hill over about 2 miles to about 6500 foot elevation. Views are outstanding in all directions. Hike took our group of 5 about 1.5 hours going up and 1 hour going down. From Wenatchee it took us about 1 hour to get to the trail head. from Leavenworth is would be about the same. time. Going uphill on the hike will make most people need to stop and rest every now and then, Going down your knees will remind you they are alive. Our group spent only about 20-30 minutes at top of hill due to storm coming in and bringing rain and wind. We left trail head walking about 3pm and got to top about 4:30 pm or so.
