But one device that many leaks pointed toward launching around this time was completely missing…the iPad 12 🤔 So what happened? According to reports from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple was expected to release an updated entry-level iPad alongside these announcements, but it never appeared. However, Gurman also mentioned that if any of those products didn’t arrive in early March, we should still expect them later in the spring That means the iPad 12 likely isn’t cancelled or delayed indefinitely - it may simply be launching a little later in Apple’s spring hardware cycle And honestly, the timing might be intentional. Apple is currently pushing the MacBook Neo, which dramatically lowers the price of getting into the Mac lineup. Launching a refreshed $349 iPad at the same time would immediately spark comparisons like “Should you buy the MacBook Neo or the iPad?” - splitting attention between the two When the iPad 12 does arrive, leaks suggest it will feature a new A18 chip, Apple Intelligence support, and possibly 8GB of RAM, bringing the base iPad in line with the rest of Apple’s AI-ready devices.
