ShopBot's Bill Young and Jeanne Taylor work on projects together quite often, but there is typically a specific purpose in mind—everything from props for ShopBot’s exhibit space at trade shows to large quantities of single items as giveaways at events. This project is a little different. Bill (the Fabber) and Jeanne (the Designer) started discussing a project that would be an example of how fabbers and designers can work together, but how their approaches and perspectives are a bit different even though they’re both striving for the same end product. You’ll also hear a bit about the added variables that needed to be taken into consideration because this custom rolling pin project involved repeating patterns and the use of a rotary indexer with a ShopBot CNC tool.
