Please note: this mod is not reversible. I love the hand mics as they harken back to my CB radio days, but the tiny little speaker isn't really loud enough to deal with wind or tractor noises. I like not having to hold the radio in my hand while driving the tractor, or while hiking, I'd rather not un-clip the radio and take the chance of dropping it. so the external mic is very desirable to me. I'm modifying two of them, and leaving one for the lawn mower as you need headsets for that machine, and once this mode has been done, the headphone jack on the hand mic will no longer work.
