Introduction: PALM's 1.0 is a desktop application developed on ERP model which is the latest way to develop functional software's. ERP provides us number of features and an easy way of managing the organization. The software is designed for better interaction between students, faculties, staff and management. All information of institution is stored in a server. PALM's 1.0 has made use of this technology to execute the smooth functioning of an institution. Value Added Modules: User Rights: PALM's 1.0 User Rights module gives different users separate and legitimate rights as and when designed and approved by the Administrator. This module will keep the pestering of users at bay and will design and assign an area of functioning for all as individuals or as a group. Transparency is the key to this module and Log sheet of every action will be maintained and created instantaneously. Either be it a case of deletion of data or an account or be it a creation of a user or newer rights assignation. Everything will be maintained as a record for the Administrator to dig in deep and find out the changes. User Rights Allotment is a special security feature in PALM's 1.0 that helps in allotting rights for all the modules. The users can be restricted as per the requirement for any module and all possible reports. Technology: The Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) is Microsoft's next generation UI framework to create applications with a rich user experience. It is part of the .NET framework 3.0 and higher. WPF combines application UIs, 2D graphics, 3D graphics, documents and multimedia into one single framework. Its vector based rendering engine uses hardware acceleration of modern graphic cards. This makes the UI faster, scalable and resolution independent. The reporting module is the default module available with each module for providing the reporting services. Reports help in obtaining the right results and also determining accurate details. The reports can be obtained in Excel or PDF format so that it can be used any time for reference.
