A significant cultural landmark overlooking the Kohala Coast. Spencer Beach Park Protected family-friendly beach with calm waters, shaded picnic areas, restrooms, showers, and lifeguards. About 20 minutes from Waikoloa Beach Resort. Hapuna Beach State Park Big Island's largest white sand beach stretching half a mile. State park facilities, popular for bodysurfing. Can have strong currents in winter. Approximately 25 minutes from Waikoloa. Waialea Beach (Beach 69) Small bay known locally as Beach 69 after the nearby mile marker. Excellent snorkeling, popular with locals. Limited parking (approximately 20 spots).
