This is a great video of a vitrectomy (FOV) in a patient who has already had a PVD (posterior vitreous detachment) and cataract surgery. He had large "amoeba" shaped floaters for over a year before the operation. This is demonstrative of how easily some patient's floaters can be visualized. Note: Because of the PVD, the instruments never get near the macula or retinal surface. This should allay concerns about floaters in the pre-macular bursa.
