SREI SNAM With the ongoing conflict on the Thai and Cambodian border (at this time a ceasefire is in place) over 500,000 people are still displaced with no sign of getting home to their farms, huts, houses and homes. They will likely loose their crops this season and that is clearly a long term issue as many live day by day, week by week. At this stage we have been financing locally but may need to put a more international system in place. This video highlights a powerful relief effort for 100 displaced families near the border of Osmach, Cambodia, who have lost everything due to conflict. Thanks to generous donations and the support of community members like Vireak Buntham, a free van transported a ton of essential supplies including rice, water, vegetables, and even coloring books and crisps for the children. The Khmer people, including pregnant mothers and many children, who, despite their dire circumstances and having no homes, are still seen smiling. This important work is ongoing, with continued deliveries of aid providing vital support to these families who are completely displaced and cannot return to their homes. The effort exemplifies how collective community action can bring much-needed relief and hope to those facing immense hardship. This video captures the ongoing humanitarian efforts in Cambodia following a devastating event, showcasing a second aid drop to affected communities. The team successfully distributed 100 bags of rice, 256 packs of water, and 25 kilos of minced pork, among other essential supplies, feeding many individuals in a large camp with new government-provided tents. The video highlights the immense scale of the disaster, with countless families displaced and having lost their homes and livelihoods, emphasizing the continuous need for support. The footage vividly portrays the temporary living conditions, with endless rows of tents and limited resources, underscoring the long-term challenges faced by these communities who often lack access to basic necessities and food security. The immense gratitude of the Cambodian people for the sustained assistance is palpable, as the team plans for yet another aid drop, demonstrating the vital impact of continued contributions.
