BYRDAW FALLS || POMSHUTIA || RIWAR MIHNGI || Pynursla || MEGHALAYA Byrdaw falls, one of the most beautiful and very little known place of attraction in Meghalaya is situated in Pomshutia village which is 66 km from the capital of the state, Shillong. The waterfalls has a unique structure in which people can walk from behind the waterfalls and gain a totally different experience from any other waterfalls. The falls has a very rare characteristics and its resemble to the cave-like structure where waterfalls is flowing. The geographical landscape, the fresh air, the breeze and a distinguished characteristics make the falls unique and unparalleled feature among the rest. Regardless of little fact on it, few tourists were notice in this place as a place of tourist attraction because of its beautiful look, good social behavior and most importantly is of the uniqueness of this falls called Byrdaw Falls. Interestingly, the falls acts as a source of income to some people of this village where the falls is located. But in fact the flow of tourists to this area is minimal due to lesser known, poor connectivity in term of advertisement, lack of encouragement or steps taken by the government etc. It attracts the villagers of a far flung areas as well as a nearby village. It forces the first timer visitor to come time and again to taste the sense of its beautifulness.
