Prof. Dr. Khadim Hussain is Director of Research at the Centre for Regional Policy and Dialogue (CRPD), Islamabad. Formerly, he served as Managing Director of Baacha Khan Trust Educational Foundation (BKTEF) and taught Linguistics, Communication, and Sociolinguistics at Bahria University and Quaid-e-Azam University. He specializes in Critical Discourse Analysis, Human Rights, Regional Cooperation (Pakistan, Afghanistan, India), Political Dynamics, Education, and Climate-Conflict issues. Khadim has over 25 international research publications, multiple media articles, and books, including Rethinking Education (2012) and The Militant Discourse (2013). His literary work spans Urdu and Pashto, including the novel Pagdandi and the Pashto books Zaba, Qaam Aw Adab and Adam Tashaddud: Mafkoora Aw Taglara. He has contributed to international research projects, education reforms with Rand Corporation, and faculty development programs with the Higher Education Commission (HEC). He has also been actively involved in youth development, teacher training, and curriculum planning across Pakistan and Afghanistan, promoting critical thinking, non-violence, human rights, pluralism, and leadership skills. A regular contributor to Dawn for over 20 years, he combines research, education, and activism to drive positive social change in the region. ************************************ Fakhar Yousafzai is an Islamabad-based journalist and social media influencer with over 12 years of experience in national and international media. Prof. Tariq Rahman, one of South Asia’s most distinguished linguistic scholars, has praised the book, calling it “an excellent guide for the South Asian user of the English language.” Shakil has twice spoken at the Middle East Institute in Washington, D.C., and has conducted numerous workshops on communication, writing, and critical thinking. He is a founding member of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) and served as President of the Progressive Writers' Association, Islamabad, from 2021 to 2022. He has attended Rotary’s annual conventions in Toronto and Hamburg.
