This is the 1979 version of Screamers aka The Island of the Fisherman in glorious VHS dirtiness. Classic Commercials, Elvira, and cheesy monsters. The Island of the Fisherman tells the story of a bunch of sweaty and groaning men (prisoners and a ship's doctor) trekking through a jungle while fishmen pick them off one by one. During their adventures they discover a suspicious scientist and his daughter (Barbara Bach) who the prisoners believe are behind the disappearances of their friends. Typical tale of Fishmen vs Man except with 10 minutes of Cameron Mitchell. This is the TV edit with Elvira commentary and commercials. I thought it was a really cool slice of life for the time and wanted to share it.
