After playing the saxophone in rock and roll bands for decades, I finally decided to try to learn jazz. This video is a record of my journey, ten months after my study began. Read the stories about my efforts to learn, and what some of these songs mean to me, or just listen to the 80+ minutes (22 songs) of music. I suggest listening with good headphones or speakers. Be kind with your comments--I know there are many, many better players than me out there. I'm not super fast or a technical virtuosa, but I play with my heart and soul, and I like the sounds I get out of my 100 year old Conn New Wonder tenor sax that I have owned for nearly 50 years. If you enjoy, please let me know. Thanks!
