Duchess of Cambridge admires school pupils' artwork and joins kindness club

(5 Feb 2019) DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE ADMIRES SCHOOL PUPILS' ARTWORK AND JOINS KINDNESS CLUB The Duchess of Cambridge visited Alperton Community School in north London Tuesday (5 FEBRUARY 2019), as she supported the fifth annual Children's Mental Health Week. There she met Andria Zafirakou - the UK's first winner of the Global Teacher Prize. The British royal also joined a roundtable discussion about teacher wellbeing and heard about how the school uses art to enhance children's confidence and creativity. The Duchess also joined children for the RAK - or Random Acts of Kindness - Club, and examined the pupils' artwork.  She spoke about the importance of art and its ability to boost confidence and divert attention from social media, especially in young people. Earlier in the day, the Duchess visited the Lavender Primary School in Enfield, north London.
