#rcmonstertruck #dustyfingersrc #tamiya I make RC videos from the golden era. In this video I build and Hop-Up this dual motor monster truck which is arguably the best Tamiya Monster Truck chassis ever released. I bought this chassis second hand a while back, no body or wheels. I ordered some parts and due to the Covid restrictions in the world they took many months to arrive. I already have the Blackfoot 3 on the WT01 chassis and I was very impressed with it. That is the single gearbox/motor version but can easily be converted due to the convenience of this chassis having a mirrored design. The WR01 chassis was first released in 1999 and this one came with manual speed controllers which I swiftly removed. I did manage to utilise the mount for the MSC's and make a tray which I attached to house the receiver. I have installed new electronics, ball bearings throughout and alloy shock mounts. If you want to source these mounts search for: WD028 GPM TL-01B Tamiya Wild Dagger Alloy Front or Rear Damper Mount. This chassis is known for a couple of weak points, one being the C-Hubs and the other the servo mount. I address both of these issues as you will see in this video. If you are looking to replace these then search for TL01 Alloy C-Hubs. This build will be in three parts. Please check out part 2 for shock install. Part 3 will be motors, wheels, tires and body bringing this build to an end. • Tamiya WR-01 Chassis #dustyfingersrc If you are interested in this servo mount you can order it here: https://www.shapeways.com/product/SK6...
