Yonaguni Island, located in the Yaeyama Islands in Okinawa Prefecture, is the furthest island from Tokyo and has a small population of less than 1,700 people. The southern coast of the island is eroded by waves and has many precipitous cliffs! To get to Yonaguni Island, it takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Naha Airport by JAL Ryukyu Air Commuter, about 30 minutes from Ishigaki Airport, and about 4 hours by ferry. The unspoiled nature, contact with the Yonaguni Town's natural treasure "Yonaguni horse", snorkeling to view the underwater ruins, and the last place in Japan where the sun sets is an experience like no other island. This is truly an island that you should visit at least once in your lifetime! Watch it until the end and you will understand why.
