Specs Intact (“Specifications Kept Intact”) was designed by NASA in 1965 and has since been adopted by both USACE and NAFVAC. Specs Intact is different from other specification software systems because it uses a tagging system. This built-in quality control system produces reports that identifies when specifications are not fully complete. This TK-Academy course goes into detail on the tagging system within Specs Intact and the types of information that are contained with the automated reports generated by Specs Intact as well as the structure of a specification including its parts and sections. It also walks through the process of setting up a new project with Specs Intact, how to add sections and how to generate reports and the submittal register from the specification sections used in the project.
