But, the future has now arrived for East Midlands Railway as we journey to Leicester (Season 12 Episode 27) Major delays along the Midland Mainline at Market Harborough due to trespassers along the railway. Disclaimer: It is against the law to trespass onto Network Rail property on tracks. Trains cannot stop as quickly as compared to cars especially in wet weather conditions. Rails can become very slippery and the trains will take longer to stop. The message is clear, please do not trespass onto railway property. Despite the delays, we see quite a few movements taking place at Leicester LIP depot with GBRF class 769 Flex and class 57 shunting around. The newest bio diesel locomotives the class 93's are working in full swing for Rail Operations Group. Its purpose is to transport units with 2 barrier carriages at each end from its main depot to Wolverton Works for example. This happens quite a bit for ScotRail with their EMU's. Major timetable changes in place at Leicester now see's hourly stopping services between Leicester and Nottingham only. These service's no longer continue for Grimsby Town/Cleethorpes.
