Wildlife video diary - highlights for July

This a short collection of wildlife, nature and landscape recordings, highlighting some of my favourite scenes for that month. It starts with a family of young Avocet chicks feeding in some rock pools. Their parents watched anxiously as several gulls flew overhead, thankfully they were all fine. A pair of Stonechats were also on the lookout, as their chicks hid away in the bushes. It was a good month for the Southern Hawker and Emperor Dragonflies, as well as the iridescent Emerald Damselfly. I came lots of Bush Crickets, this female was trying to discourage a persistent male! I found a few Swallowtail caterpillars munching their way through their favourite food, milk parsley. Finally I finish with more Avocets, this time one glorious evening on the Norfolk coast as the sun descended in to a cascade of amazing colours. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I did recording it.
