Free online games - http://www.epic-ninja.com Facebook - / sosolid2kk I've been back killing Mithril dragons again, and in the process have been playing around with equipment/invents and updates since my last guide. Enough has changed that I felt an updated guide was needed, since the kill rate I'm getting is much better than that in the previous guide and at a much lower cost. I also wanted to structure the video so that a lot of the information was contained within annotations, making them easy to edit post-upload. So if anything new comes out, I can just adjust annotations with the updated info to keep the guide current. Music by Xenogenocide Challenge .45 Silently I Strike Riding On The Edge http://xenogenocide.newgrounds.com More info & FAQs Kills per hour note: The 80-90+ KPH is highly dependant on how you loot drops and minimizing idle time inbetween kills. If you don't do this as efficiently as you can, you will probably get kills per hour in high 70s area. You'll also need comp/max cape to get high 80s/90+ KPH consistently. Most players could probably achieve low 80s doing everything right. How to get a higher KPH (not advisable, unless you have the pots stockpiled - they have a bad kill/cost ratio): Overloads instead of extremes will sqeeze in a few extra kills and save an invent space for another spec restore. Super prayer potions instead of regular - This will save you invent space allowing for more spec restores to be taken. Storm of Armadyl w/ mage armour is quite a bit faster than melee, but extremely expensive. I managed 110+ kph with void on my first try, with Virtus or other mage armour, you'll likely get a fair amount more. Miths use melee more often than other attacks, so you'll take less damage if you're in melee range, using protect from melee. Not only do the runes cost mils per hour, but you pretty much need to use overloads as well, so it's not really economical, and there are better things to sink that kind of money into for effigies and what not. Void trade off: Void will speed up kills quite a bit, but the trade off is that it has fairly low magic defence. This leaves you somewhat vulnerable to Miths magic attacks. Using void you will likely have to use soul split at times to keep your health up. Things such as deflector/barrows gloves instead of defender/void gloves can help boost your magic defence while not affecting your kill rate. Dragon defender + void gloves VS void deflector + barrows gloves: A few people seem to think that a defender and void glove combo is a better choice due to the extra attack bonuses, but it is not the case. The kill rates are pretty much the same (the void set effect makes your attacks much more accurate so that small attack bonuses have less of an impact on accuracy). The void deflector + barrows gloves however, provide +15 magic defence higher than a defender + void gloves, which decreases the amount you need to use Soul Split to heal. Soul split uses more prayer than deflect melee, so overuse can often lead to less kills before your prayer runs out. Other tips & tricks: Mithril Dragons often drop Super Defence Mixes, it's a good idea to pick these up and use them to boost your defence to reduce the need for Soul Split. Try to focus mainly on the northern two dragons if you can. If you kill them fast and have to attack the southern dragon, try to avoid looting the drop if it lands next to the south ledge. Walking here can make the dragons aggressive again. I personally only loot effigies/chewed bones/elite clues and the rare drops such as DFH/visage from this spot. If there is already someone in the recommended spot when you arrive (non-slayer), I find it best to just hop worlds. You can enter the Mithril Door and safely log out there. Sharing the spot will cost you more kills than it's worth (it's very easy to find empty worlds). If slayers show up mid trip, it's better to just keep going till they're finished, perhaps kindly ask them if they could kill the southern two dragons, rather than splitting 3 between you. --------------- You can play Runescape at http://www.runescape.com ---------------
