As part of our 2025 OCL grant, Ekuri Brian (@ekuribrianakom160) brings us the powerful documentary "Wa Big Wata" (Our Ocean). This film is a key component of the "Seas of Hope" project, which seeks to engage young people through art and educational initiatives that raise awareness about the importance of the ocean and the environmental challenges it faces. In this documentary, Ekuri, an environmental educator based in Cameroon, shares his mission to promote ocean literacy and explores the impact of local waste management practices on ocean plastic pollution. Through his lens, we see how youth in the Limbe Municipality are stepping up to tackle these issues and make a real difference in their communities. Produced by Zoe Communications, this documentary was supported by Ocean Culture.
