Making new video cables: Commodore VIC-20 composite [TCE

A video showing how I like to make composite video & audio cables for the VIC-20. Happy to hear constructive criticism, feedback and (as always) corrections. The VIC uses a 5-pin DIN and outputs a composite video signal on pins 4 & 5, mono audio on pin 3 and ground on pin 2. Note that there is a difference in the video signal on pins 4 & 5 on older VICs: pin 4 is the "video low" output and pin 5 is the "video high" output. The difference is that the "video low" output goes via an L-pad attenuator which drops the voltage level to about 60% of the "video high" output (according to the schematic). So it's safer to just use pin 5 (I think, according to other cables) - definitely don't connect pins 4 & 5 in the DIN plug if you want to maintain compatibility with all possible VICs. I like to use stereo audio cables, so I just tie the L & R wires together into the same pin 3. Finally, tie all three ground wires together into pin 2. As the VIC chip (6560 or 6561) outputs separate chroma & luma, it's also possible to use pins 4 & 5 to output an S-video output (not covered in this video).
