Here's my video of Santa Fe 3751 being turned around for the trip back to LA at the BNSF yard in San Bernardino. On Sunday I was back out at the 2013 San Bernardino Railroad days festival at 6:00 AM to see 3751 as it was turned around for the return trip to Los Angeles. While 3751 and the excursion train were turned around I got a once in a lifetime opportunity to ride in the cab of the locomotive by personal invitation of engineer Ed Dickens, head of the Union Pacific Railroad's steam program. Ed was in town this weekend to serve as the engineer on 3751's excursion trip. I would like to thank Ed for this very unexpected, but generous invitation to ride in the cab with the crew. I also would like to thank my dad for driving me out to San Bernardino at 4:30 am on a Sunday morning, making this event possible. enjoy!
