Temperature Control Regulated Box Mods, Ni200 wire builds and coils, the 2015 frontier of vaping. Is it really so special? Is it worth exploring? That's for your personal vaping pleasure to decide. What once was a sparse niche with only a few players, namely Hana and VaporShark has filled in with all the other companies now introducing their own version of a TC device, as well as the emergence of many new companies jumping in as well. Some companies are finding their second rise to greatness with TC. While I don't quite find the vape my cup of tea, I do see that it is an area of vaping with tremendous room for variety and innovation. So I'll not bash the space with my own personal preference. Personally I would rather pump 100 watts into a .2 ohm build on my IPV and chuck clouds with plenty of intense flavor. But that's just my style. 6 pack vs. fine wine. Many of my friends enjoy the finer nuances of sipping vapes with TC builds on their specialty devices, and it's how they like to vape. I'll not knock it. SMY sent me their 50watt TC box mod and it is a very regal and solid box, very similar in design to the Variant Clone, and of such nice weight to it. So I purchased the IPV3 Li 165 watt with TC, to at least have something to compare, got some ni200 wire and some ni200 coils for various subohm tanks (Subverter mini and Crown) and got busy vaping and testing. In this video I am talking about the experience of vaping with TC, these two devices, dripping in TC mode, building for it, and also subtanking with it. My overall opinion is this: for a cloud chaser and subohm dripper subohm tank vaping style TC will bore you and aggravate you. For a flavor chaser with patience and a connoseur's pallete TC is the Shangrilah of vaping. I did experience tasting subtleties of juices which had previously been hard to notice. The bolder flavors of high power vaping tend to crowd out subtle nuances. Nickel is a soft metal with a much lower melting point, and also a risk for vaping without Temperature Control. Please explore this vaping style carefully and with guidance from knowledgeable and experienced vapers. It is excellent for vaping with RTA rebuildable tank atomizers, the flavor is excellent and if you vape on those you have much patience to begin with. But if you try vaping nickel on normal wattage devices without temp control you could potentially vape at higher than healthy temperatures and have no way of knowing it. So please know what you are doing. DO NOT pulse the coils if you are building for dripping. simply space the coils, there will be no hot spots as the coils are not touching. The metal gets very soft and brittle when you fire it on normal wattage, taking on a chalky powdery look. I did this in ignorance, and I did not enjoy the flavor or vapor, it tasted metallic, and probably wasn't healthy for me at all. Good setups for TC vaping are proper subohm tank with coils made specifically for use in that tank that are ni200. Proper box mod with TC setting such as This SMY50WTC, IPV3LiTC, IPV4100WTC (and don't overdrip, and if you can, remove the recharging board) Vapor Shark, Hana, Snow Wolf 200WTC, SMOKM80, SXmini....many other devices emerging and on the market, please all feel free to comment below and weigh in on the subject. More info is needed. The IPV3Li165WattTC product is available for $85 online at www.wakeandvape.com that's the cheapest price I've seen it selling for. I paid $99 for mine.
