The long-story-short of Lux and Daniel and AcroYoga and Burningman is as follows: Burningman is a wild, weird, and wonderful place where one is prone to meet wild, weird, and wonderful people. Shortly after AcroYoga teacher training in 2008, I ventured back into the vibrant fray of Black Rock City. Armed with fierce determination and an abundance of love, my main goal was to play with as many people as possible. We first met in the middle of a white-out dust storm. This was literally our first conversation: Daniel Scott: You do AcroYoga? Lux (laughing to himself): A little. DS: Wanna fly? Lux: Not on you. I don't know you. Lux demanded nothing but skill and experience from the people he worked with, and I had some big, strong determination to be one of those people. One year later, at the exact spot we first met, I asked Lux if he would like to play. He agreed. Lux: You're getting better. Keep practicing. DS: Ha! And so it went, so it goes, and so it will continue to go. Every year since then, Lux and I have found time to meet in the desert and come up with a bunch of interesting shit. It's not about how fast, how high, or how complicated. It's about how good it feels to grow, how great it is to connect, and how wild, weird, and wonderful it is to share the practice with others who care for it in the same way you do.
