The first-ever dessert train in Taiwan is launching in Hsinchu. The Haifeng sightseeing train, jointly launched by Taiwan Railways and a travel agency, will officially begin operation on Dec. 7. The first season’s route will travel back and forth between Hsinchu and Taichung along the coastal line, offering a moving afternoon tea experience. Passengers can enjoy desserts while taking in beautiful scenery. For the debut, South Korean cheerleader Lee Ho-jeong was invited to join in the opening event and give the train a special unboxing experience. The display window is filled with a dazzling array of macarons that make your mouth water. On the other side, there are delicious cakes, crispy canelés, and a dessert buffet offering endless treats. It’s truly a sweet paradise. This is no ordinary dessert shop—it’s a moving afternoon tea aboard this lake-green train. We also look forward to the launch of the Haifeng and Shanlan trains, which we hope will significantly boost the growth of related tourism and sightseeing activities.
