One of the most common issues with these units: LED stays on, motor keeps spinning. It's an issue with the reset circuit. But it doesn't end there, three chips were replaced in the process. Commodore 64 and Commodore 1541 floppy disk drive PCB Assy : 250442 Addendum: this is not shown in the video, but the UB1 input pin 5 is not connected to anything (the schematics confirm this), which means it's always in limbo (high impedance) even on a working drive, meaning also its output, pin 6 will always be low.
