Waste Education Officer Viviana takes us through the daily use of the FOGO Caddy. --------- TRANSCRIPT: Hi I'm Viviana Lopez-Torres, the Waste Education Officer at the City of Subiaco. In the next few weeks, the residents will receive everything they need to start the FOGO process. Every resident will receive a new lime green lidded FOGO bin, a small kitchen caddy like this one, a supply of compostable caddy liners that sit inside the caddy like this. There will also be some helpful information to make it easy for you to use. Make sure you only use compostable bin liners in this caddy, not plastic bags. If you run out, you can use newspaper, then pick up a new roll of certified compostable liners at your local supermarket. Once lined, this caddy can be used to easily collect kitchen scraps like bones, fruit and vegetables stalks, coffee grounds, tea leaves and used napkins or tissues. Or even the old leftovers at the back of your fridge. Just take them out of the packaging. Every two or three days, tie off the liner and place it in your lime green lidded FOGO bin, which will be collected weekly. If you have any questions about the kitchen caddy or the FOGO waste system, head to subiaco.wa.gov.au/FOGO.
