KOA Lewiston/Niagara Falls North Campground Review 3 Dogs & An RV Score: 4.5 out of 5 Missy and I had the luxury of spending the majority of the summer of 2021 with Leigh and Fran at the KOA Kampground in Lewiston/Niagara Falls North on 1250 Pletcher Road in Youngstown, NY. The KOA in Lewiston is branded as a KOA Journey, offers plenty of space for larger rigs and most spots are pull-through slips. This KOA offers full hookup, but only in a few spots. We made that error on our first booking. We only booked water and electricity, however, the KOA offers a dumping service for $10 per dumping of your gray and black tanks. The other item that I particularly liked was the daily trash pickup. No more taking your trash to the dumpster. Each morning, KOA staff drive around a pick up the trash for your site. Nice little touch. During the summer, there is breakfast on Saturday at the main office and wine/ice cream on the weekend. We never went to the pool, so cannot comment on the pool other than there is one. Nights were quiet and dark, so we had very restful nights of sleep and there were no major issues with other campers at this KOA. Now to some of the cons. It rained a lot in Niagara this summer. There are issues with drainage and water pools on some sites. The staff acted swiftly to pump water away from the sites impacted heavily by the enormous amount of rain in Niagara County this past summer. The roads and some of the sites are not very level, so proceed with care when driving your coach or trailer in the campground. The sites and roads are in need of some care and attention to make them level. Leigh and Fran are your hosts and they will take very good care of you when you stay with them. There is also a KOA on Grand Island, which is a KOA Holiday. The price difference is about $40 to $50 a night.
